Lesson Planning with H.E.A.T.
Use Digital Age Best Practices to refocus existing classroom lesson plans
How emotionally connected are students to the content in today’s classrooms? Are students totally engaged in the learning or are merely involved? How can classroom teachers use their existing digital tools and resources effectively to promote greater student collaboration, engagement, and achievement levels?
The Lesson Planning with H.E.A.T. workshop emphasizes integrating digital age tools and strategies for improved student H.E.A.T. (Higher order thinking, Engaged learning, Authentic connections, Technology use) with existing lesson plans. Using the research-based Digital Age Best Practices, teachers will conduct lesson plan makeovers that increase the amount of student H.E.A.T. generated from any K-12 learning experience.
The LPH Program is Two Days Onsite or Two Days Online
Dr. Chris Moersch, founder of LoTi (Levels of Teaching Innovation), and his professional development team offer classroom teachers the tools, strategies, and, most importantly, the will to implement practical solutions for transforming classrooms into dynamic and engaging learning environments based on the research-based Digital Age Best Practices.
Both types of session can be adjusted according to the needs of your school/district.
- The Onsite LPH Session includes two days of conference participation, a copy of the Lesson Planning with H.E.A.T. handouts, and access to the online Moodle support site in the LoTi Classroom. Participants are responsible for their own meals, lodging, and transportation during the session.
- The Online LPH Session allows for completion of the Lesson Planning with H.E.A.T. program in the online LoTi Classroom. All courses in the LoTi Classroom are asynchronous; they do not require all participants to be logged into the course at the same time. The intent of the LoTi Classroom is to provide convenient, cost-efficient, high-quality professional development services for participants on their own time schedule.
